How to use Complete 3D in a Nuvemshop store

Nuvemshop strips iframes from the product description when it is saved. That means the Complete viewer cannot be embedded inside the product page this way, and this guide does not promise otherwise. What works, and works well, is taking the shopper to the piece in 3D and augmented reality through a link or a QR code.

Why the code does not stay in the description

The Nuvemshop description editor filters HTML and removes iframes, which is the format of the embed code. The effect is silent: the product saves normally and the viewer does not appear in the store. It is not a pasting mistake, and trying the same path again will not change the result.

What to use instead

Every piece created in Complete Dashboard has its own address, which opens the viewer in full screen. It is the address that appears inside the embed code, between the quotation marks after src:

https://www.completemagazine.com.br/ar/PRODUCT-CODE
The piece’s address. On a phone, it opens the 3D view and the augmented reality button.

With this address, there are two ways to take the shopper to the piece.

  1. 01

    A link in the description

In the product description, write a sentence such as “See this piece in 3D and in your space” and turn it into a link to the piece’s address. Ordinary links are not removed by the editor. Put the sentence at the start of the description, where it will be seen.

  2. 02

A QR code for shoppers on a computer

Generate a QR code with the same address, adding ?qr=1 to the end, and use it in a product image, a banner or the store’s printed materials. Shoppers on a computer point their phone at it and open the piece on their own device, with the augmented reality button at hand. The ?qr=1 is what makes the Dashboard count that visit as a QR code scan.

When the address is opened on a computer, the Complete viewer itself offers a QR code to continue on a phone. So even someone who clicks the link on a computer can reach augmented reality.

What you lose and what remains

What you lose is the piece rotating inside the product page, next to the photos: the shopper needs one more tap to reach it. What remains is everything that happens after that tap, meaning the 3D view, augmented reality at real scale, and the measurement of views, taps and QR code scans in the Dashboard.

The GIF and the video of the piece turning through 360 degrees, which the Dashboard exports, also remain available. They can go on the store’s social media and, depending on what your theme accepts in the gallery, alongside the product photos.

If your store has access to the theme code

Some stores have access to edit the theme code, and whoever develops the store can assess whether the viewer can be placed outside the description. This possibility depends on each store’s plan and theme, which is why Complete does not present it as a guaranteed path. The link and the QR code work in any Nuvemshop store, today.

Frequently asked questions

Does Nuvemshop accept the embed code in the description?

No. The description editor removes iframes on save. The path that works is a link to the piece’s address, plus the QR code.

Do shoppers need an app to see the piece through the link?

No. The address opens in the phone’s browser, with the piece in 3D and the augmented reality button.

Can I measure how many people opened the piece?

Yes. The Dashboard records views and augmented reality taps for each piece, whatever the way in, and counts visits that arrive through the address with ?qr=1 as QR code scans.
