Complete was incubated at Georgia Tech’s ScaleUp Lab

Caíque Nucci, founder of Complete, was incubated with the company at the ScaleUp Lab of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, within the GIST program of the U.S. Department of State. ScaleUp is Georgia Tech’s international acceleration program, one of the world’s leading technology universities, and it trains founders to enter foreign markets. It was there that Complete studied technology and business internationalization and learned the institute’s soft landing methodology, which today guides the house’s operation in five languages.

Classes took place in the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design, the campus landmark and the first project in the southeastern United States to earn Living Building Challenge certification, the world’s most demanding standard in sustainable construction. It does not merely reduce harm: it gives back more than it consumes, generating more energy and more water than it uses over a year. Half of its materials and services came from within a thousand-kilometre radius. Learning internationalization inside a building made with that care teaches something no class teaches on its own.
