Complete Studio
3D product rendering, and what it replaces.
3D product rendering builds a digital model of a product and photographs it inside a computer, which means angles, backgrounds, colourways and lighting can all change without another studio day. The economics are the reason brands move: a photo shoot costs a day and produces the shots you planned, while a model costs once and produces every shot you think of afterwards.
Complete Studio has produced this for fashion retail, beauty, tailoring, décor and cultural institutions since 2022. Six of those projects, with the brand named:
Where it has been used
Kérastase, L’Oréal Group
Seven photorealistic 3D renders of the Chronologiste line, shown in 360 degrees on the brand’s retail partners. The same 3D file becomes GIF and MP4 for paid and social, so the production is not repeated per channel.
Renner
More than four campaigns over a year: Christmas in 3D and CGI, Spring/Summer, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in 3D video and FOOH. The films ran on the brand’s social channels and on the screens inside the physical stores, with augmented reality built for social on top.
2.5 million views across the campaigns
Ricardo Almeida
Augmented reality for a store opening, with interactive product viewing, followed by a cinematic 3D product film built around the tailoring and the fall of the fabric.
476,000 views on the film
Camicado
Augmented reality for the décor catalogue, from wireframe to final render, extended with influencers who carried the experience to their own channels.
What changes against a photo shoot
Cost per piece stops depending on the day
A studio day is diluted across the pieces that fit in it. A model has a fixed cost per piece, with no crew and no rental.
Reshoots stop being reshoots
A new angle, a new colour or a new background is a re-render, not a new session with the product back in the room.
The catalogue becomes reachable
The economics that make sense for twenty hero pieces make sense for the whole catalogue.
Augmented reality comes free with it
Once the model exists, the customer can place the product in their own space through the phone camera, with no app to download.
When photography is still right
Garments on a body, editorial imagery and anything where the selling point is atmosphere rather than the object. Rendering competes with catalogue photography, not with a campaign shoot, and a studio that tells you otherwise is selling.
