Guta Nascimento, a journalist and one of the pioneers in bringing the digital world into the corporate one, has a path that reflects not only the evolution of media, but also the social and technological transformations the world has gone through in recent decades. Born in 1968 in Rio de Janeiro, Guta had an early start in learning, teaching herself to read at 4 and standing out from childhood. Her story, marked by curiosity and a passion for communication, is a reflection of the changes she witnessed and, often, helped bring about.

At 12, an aptitude test pointed to the field of Social Communication, and it was on that path that Guta found her true calling. She began her career in television, passed through several radio stations and, at 22, was already at TV Globo, where she established herself as a respected professional. Guta's career continued through major media corporations until she became one of the founders of Tempo de Mulher, a hugely successful women's portal in Brazil, with more than 30 million pageviews and 1.2 million users. It was at Tempo de Mulher that Guta made history, bringing a plus size columnist to Brazil for the first time, a landmark in digital journalism and in the inclusion of diverse bodies, especially in fashion.
In 2017, Guta took on the role of deputy director at CLAUDIA magazine, where she had the chance to go deeper into content for women, a subject that had always fascinated her. It was in 2021, however, that she made the decision that would change the course of her career: to move into Web3, believing in the impact of new technologies and in the shift in paradigms they bring to communication and content creation.

Her view of the future is clear: the digital revolution, according to Guta, is the revolution of space. She believes that, just as the Industrial Revolution transformed time, the digital revolution transformed the way we connect with the world around us, allowing us to be in several spaces at once. More recently, with the rise of artificial intelligence and blockchain, she sees a new revolution, that of creation. "We are changing the way we create and consume", she says, stressing the importance of understanding the transformations we are living through and of being protagonists in that process.
For Guta, the role of corporations in innovation is also a critical point. "Corporations are great ocean liners that cannot easily change course. The unexpected and the new do not fit into the Excel spreadsheet", she comments, reflecting on the rigidity of large corporate structures which, in her view, are afraid to innovate and adapt. For her, the key lies in human capital and in creating spaces of collaboration and learning, where different ideas can flourish.

Beyond her experience in major media outlets and companies, Guta is today a digital nomad, living on Discord, doing live streams and giving talks on digital inclusion and diversity. She also devotes herself to content curation focused on Web3, blockchain and the metaverse, creating gatherings that bring together social projects and initiatives in the digital ecosystem, with the aim of democratising access to new technologies and promoting inclusion.
Guta Nascimento is not merely a journalist. She is a genuine visionary who understands the importance of adapting our processes of communication and creation to the speed of the changes we are living through. She has always been drawn to people who challenged her ideas and widened her horizon, and over the course of her career she has become a reference for those seeking to understand the complex relations between technology, communication and society.

Today, Guta is a symbol of transformation, not only in journalism but also in the digital world, one of the great voices helping to shape the future of our interactions and of the way we connect in that new universe. Her journey, which began in traditional journalism and moved into the digital matrix, is a genuine lesson in adaptation and evolution in the face of new technological frontiers.
