Colorful basins take the spotlight as a design trend

Soft gradients, rounded corners in varied shapes, matte finish: colorful basins have gained ground in interior architecture projects and taken on a role that goes beyond the functional, breaking monotony and dictating personality in bathrooms and powder rooms.

In the renovation of bathrooms within the same apartment, architect Mari Milani bet on the same model and the same color, adjusting only the dimensions to each countertop. It isn't the first time the piece has taken center stage in a bathroom: in the 1980s, colorful basins already lived their peak, in striking tones like green, pink and caramel.

The piece stops being merely functional to become an element of composition, proof of how color alone can drive the perception of an entire space.
