Casa de Criadores N57 takes over the CCSP and deepens the debate on identity, territory and the future of fashion

Between 3 and 10 December, Casa de Criadores reaches its 57th edition, taking over the Centro Cultural São Paulo in an unprecedented way. For the first time, the Flávio de Carvalho floor holds both the runway hall and a large-scale exhibition area, creating a continuous circuit between catwalks, works, routes and public. The layout reinforces the event's vocation for bringing fashion, research and experiment together in a single territory.

The week begins on the 3rd with the performance by Cisne Negro Cia. de Dança, with costumes by Le Benites, a frequent name at CdC. On the same day, Talento Senac opens space for ten students coordinated by João Pimenta, marking a start that already sets the tone of the edition: a meeting between training, creation and the contemporary urgencies of dress.

Moda as reflection and the building of worlds

This year's curatorial theme, Which Fashion, For Which World?, guides both the main exhibition and the cycle of talks that takes place between 3 and 5 December. Curated by Karlla Girotto, the show brings together work by 15 designers exploring the intersections between fashion, art and research. The works address how the image creates subjectivities and projects possible futures, with themes that run through identity, territory and regenerative practice.

In parallel, the cycle of debates organised by Carol Barreto goes deeper into the sector's structural questions: politics, race, gender, the creative economy and paths towards a more diverse Brazilian fashion. The free programme positions CdC as a space for learning and for the articulation of ideas, beyond the runway.

Training and inclusion remain at the centre

CdC maintains its educational work with the second edition of the workshop Crie Moda Autoral Transforma, an initiative run with Sebrae São Paulo and support from Santista, Singer and Veste. The programme trains 30 trans, travesti and non-binary people over the course of the week, with classes in design and pattern cutting taught by Alexandre dos Anjos, Dayony Moura, Jorge Feitosa and Vicenta Perrotta. The work is completed with a final show placed in the official line-up.

Debuts, returns and collaborations that draw CdC's new cycle

The N57 edition balances debuts and familiar names, keeping the platform's dynamic alive. Entering for the first time are CreationsLil, PiryGótik, Mama Nossa Cultura, Vítor Cunha, the trans collective Ateliê FLÚOR + AVINI and Paula Fávaro. Among the returns, Dystopic and Sioduhi Studio stand out, alongside the partnership between Rober Dognani and Filipe Fanaia, of Das Haus.

Trama Afetiva has an expanded presence in this edition on three fronts: a show, a solo exhibition on the regeneration of waste and the launch of the publication Trama Afetiva: Moda em Regeneração. The activities occupy the CCSP's Sala de Vidro and reinforce the event's commitment to sustainable and innovative practice in making fashion.

An expanded network of support and the presence of industry

This year's edition counts on sponsors such as ApexBrasil, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship for Micro and Small Businesses, Kenner, Senac São Paulo, Santista and Singer, alongside support from Sebrae São Paulo and from the institution that hosts the event. Kenner, the official sponsor, closes the week with the show Eu Vim de Lá, the result of a collaboration between five young labels aligned with the new line created with Anitta. Singer once again presents its partnership with NotEqual, by designer Fábio Costa.

CdC as a national platform for authorial fashion

Bringing together 58 participants across shows and exhibitions, CdC consolidates its position as one of the main spaces for the visibility and expansion of Brazilian authorial fashion. The meeting of designers from different regions of the country reinforces the plural character of the event, which for 28 years has driven careers and encouraged experimental practice in the sector.

The programme runs from 3 to 7 December, resuming on the 9th and 10th, always at the CCSP. The main exhibition remains open to the public until 14 December.
