Officially launched in May 2025, SORO is the new clothing label created by Pedro Maia, known in electronic music as Mochakk, in collaboration with creative director Halfcab and designer TNK. With a modular proposal and a focus on multiple uses, the label emerges as an exercise in style and identity in constant recombination.

With pieces that come apart and reconfigure themselves, SORO articulates the garment as language, allowing distinct visual readings from the same base. Among the first releases are shirts, trousers, shorts, dungarees and ponchos, along with accessories such as a detached shirt collar held by metal rings. Prices range between R$400 and R$1,500.

The label began to take shape two years ago, when Mochakk decided to revisit an old calling. Although he made his name globally as a DJ, Pedro grew up among sewing machines and studied fashion before devoting himself exclusively to music. SORO represents a return to that world, now articulated with the force of his artistic path.

Drawing on the idea of navigating other realities, the label's aesthetic and function propose alternatives to the traditional use of clothing and widen the sensory repertoire of daily life. “SORO is a way, or several ways, of navigating the different realities we find day to day”, Pedro says.

The opening collection was made with guest designer Giulia Ferraro, consultancy by Rosa Craveiro, marketing by Paula Santomauro and Brunna Vini, and management by Priscila Tamura and Andreina Cardoso.

The launch took place in the first week of May, at Estúdio Metrópole in São Paulo, with a show for guests. The label's pop-up store remains open to the public at the same location until mid-month, marking the start of SORO's circulation as a physical and direct experience too.
