Fahrer and the poetics of design

The Brazilian studio Fahrer reaffirms its position at the forefront of authorial furniture design by winning three Honourable Mentions at the prestigious IDA, the International Design Awards. The collection "Conexões" gives new meaning to materials common to urban daily life, such as pipes and fittings, granting them a new aesthetic and conceptual status. In collaboration with the brands Tigre and Alltak, Fahrer turns the raw functionality of those structural elements into furniture that goes beyond its original function, becoming visceral manifestations of creativity and ingenuity.

Each awarded piece reflects Fahrer's commitment to the intersection of design, technology and artistic expression. The Conexão 10 armchair, with its bold volume, reconfigures the tactile perception of space and comfort, while the Conexão 08 dining table, with a sinuous structure and a robust glass top, provokes a dialectic between lightness and solidity. The Conexão 03 speaker, in turn, turns sound into a sculptural object, where high-fidelity audio joins a provocative design. The use of sophisticated finishes and innovative printing processes reflects the potential for reinterpreting conventional materials in the contemporary landscape.
