HISHA is a fashion brand born in Minas Gerais that has established itself through its work with manual embroidery as its central creative language. Founded in 2016 by Giovanna Resende, the label brings together hand-designed and embroidered clothing whose production is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship and the collective work of embroiderers. From this foundation, HISHA has built a fashion repertoire in which the materiality of embroidery coexists with the contemporary tone of national fashion.

Giovanna Resende, who also serves as the brand's creative director, began her trajectory by aligning technique and her own language. Her training as an embroiderer is also the starting point for HISHA, which grew from a local project to a fashion design with a presence in São Paulo and consumer hubs like Trancoso, in addition to resonating with entertainment figures and influencers in Brazil.

Over the years, HISHA has expanded its repertoire of pieces: from tops and skirts to dresses and corsets; and has consolidated a repertoire that navigates between the artisanal and the contemporary. Embroidery, in this journey, has ceased to be an applied element to become a methodology of creation: each stitch carries a logic of construction and detail that is repeated in the way the brand thinks about form and surface.

In 2026, the brand presents BARROCA, a collection launched for Carnival that revisits symbolic and visual references from its origins. Drawing from connections with the aesthetic of Minas Gerais baroque, the collection affirms a thematic continuity in the way it works with texture, movement, and embroidery structure. The launch directly dialogues with the material and cultural heritage from which HISHA originates, without losing sight of the fluidity of contemporary fashion. Already available on the brand's website, BARROCA reinforces the role of embroidery as a vector of aesthetic construction and revisits a visual matrix that is constitutive of the brand without necessarily anchoring itself solely in the Carnival calendar.
