Handred, the label created by André Namitala, presented its new Summer 2026 collection on the runway of São Paulo Fashion Week N60. “Baila” is built as a crossing between night, body and fabric, revealing a more direct and mature phase of the label.
Founded in Rio de Janeiro, Handred is grounded in the relationship between time, material and culture. Its identity has been shaped by a careful eye for handwork and by the capacity to join fashion and art in an authorial way.

At the head of the atelier, André develops collections from deep dives into artistic worlds. Sérgio Rodrigues and Francisco Brennand have already been sources, connecting fashion to the fields of Brazilian design and architecture.
In “Baila”, the designer turns to the symbolic arrival of the Age of Aquarius and to the aesthetics of the 1970s, a decade marked by an idea of freedom that placed the body at the centre of experience.

The live soundtrack, opened by the performance of Ivana Wonder to “Age of Aquarius”, set the tone of the night. The show began with contained intensity and ended in a festive mood, like a ritual that crosses different atmospheres.
The collection rests on just two materials: silk and leather. That reduced choice makes plain the balance between lightness and structure, allowing the silhouette and the gesture of the body to take the lead. Embroidery and bugle beads appear in subtle layers, valuing the surface of the fabrics without competing with the form.
The collaboration with artist Nayara Barros produced the Aquarius print, developed from research on spirituality and transformation. Shades of lilac, aubergine and water outline the visual path of the show, which alternates density, lightness and desire. The narrative moves from introspection to expansion, with freer volumes and intense reds at the close.
“Baila” also reaffirms Handred as a label that operates on another clock, close to the world of quiet luxury. Its public follows the label's path with an understanding of creative processes, production time and references, in a relationship that goes beyond the accelerated logic of the networks.

With stores in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Handred has built a solid and loyal community. Each new collection reinforces the idea that fashion, when allied with art, widens the imagination and activates a more sensitive form of presence.
“Baila” is the expression of that meeting. An open-air ball in which fabric becomes language, the body is the centre and the night opens as a space of creation.
