ARCOmadrid 2026 highlights Latin American artists in the Profiles section

In the 2026 edition of the ARCOmadrid, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel presents a set of works that brings together Latin American artists in different approaches between painting, sculpture, and transdisciplinary practices. The participation includes works by Ernesto Neto, Rivane Neuenschwander, Janaina Tschäpe, Cristiano Lenhardt, Luiz Zerbini, Márcia Falcão, Pélagie Gbaguidi, and Ana Cláudia Almeida. In parallel, artist Ana Cláudia Almeida occupies a solo stand dedicated to new works, presented in collaboration with Quadra, within the Profiles | Latin American Art section, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy.

The selection presented by the gallery brings together artists who work from distinct material investigations. Ernesto Neto develops organic structures that invite the public to perceive space through sensory experience. Rivane Neuenschwander presents paintings of empty environments that reflect on memory and violence. Meanwhile, Janaina Tschäpe builds abstract compositions in which color and gesture organize pictorial surfaces in motion.

Other artists present expand this dialogue through hybrid languages. Cristiano Lenhardt combines ceramics, painting, textiles, and reliefs in works that navigate between object and image. Luiz Zerbini develops paintings that observe patterns and rhythms of the natural world, while Márcia Falcão investigates the human figure through forms in constant transformation. In parallel, Pélagie Gbaguidi and Ana Cláudia Almeida address memory, gesture, and cultural references from the materiality of painting.

The solo stand of Ana Cláudia Almeida brings together paintings made on cotton paper and fabric alongside a large-scale sculptural composition developed in partnership with Quadra. The artist's practice begins with direct contact with the materials, allowing previous marks and layers to remain visible on the surface. This process creates works that record time, action, and transformation throughout the construction of the image.

Participation in ARCOmadrid inserts these productions into the international circuit of contemporary art, where the presence of Latin American artists has been expanding their institutional and market visibility. The fair functions as a meeting point between galleries, curators, and collectors, connecting artistic practices from different regions to a global audience.
